The Pohly Company is working with the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) on both print design and advertising sales. AMC was initially looking for a fresh perspective on the design of its publication, and Pohly has now been managing the design of AMC’s member magazine, AMC Outdoors since 2011.  The magazine requires an active design that reflects the interests and outdoor lifestyle of AMC’s 100,000 members. The design also requires seasonal consideration and must appeal to a wide age range of enthusiast members.


A Fresh Look and New Sales

In addition to a new look in print, Pohly also manages all advertising sales for AMC, in print and on the web, including a revamp and extension of AMC Outdoors’ media kit, regular weekly email marketing to advertisers, and development of a seasonal promotional package to help improve overall revenue results by enabling advertisers to engage directly with members in a variety of ways.
