Growth plan sparks steady need for new hires
BOSTON, August 31, 2006 The Pohly Company, Inc., a Boston-based diversified marketing and publishing services company that specializes in customer communications, welcomes six new employees, supporting the continuous growth of the company.
The Pohly Company’s recruitment efforts reflect its plan for ongoing business expansion, which the company announced last fall. The plan included expanding its breadth of services beyond custom publishing to include design communications, media sales and consulting, communications consulting and market research, and its award-winning newsletter for marketing professionals, Fuel.
The following individuals have recently joined The Pohly Company team:
Custom Publishing
Martha Leibs Production Director
With 13 years of experience in publications production, Leibs will be responsible for leading the production plan and providing direction on all the publications. Previously, Leibs was production manager at children’s publisher Candlewick Press. Leibs has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Massachusetts.
Marketing Services
Jessica Fidgeon Account Supervisor
Fidgeon will be responsible for overseeing Fidelity Investments’ custom publications and managing the day-to-day relationship for Fidelity and other clients. Before coming to The Pohly Company, Fidgeon managed the brand, marketing and sales for Vera Wang and LVMH in New York. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duke University.
Meghan Abrams Account Manager
Abrams will be responsible for managing the day-to-day custom publishing activities for Boston Society of Architects, Fidelity Investments, UAW-GM Center for Human Resources, and UAW-DC National Training Center. She comes to The Pohly Company from Irma S. Mann Strategic Marketing. Abrams received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from University of North Carolina.
Katherine Demmon Account Coordinator
Joining the Pohly Company as an account coordinator, Demmon will assist the editorial process and manage the accounts for Bloom, Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, Fidelity Investments, and Vacation.com. Demmon was previously an office and circulation manager for Where Magazine. She received a Bachelor of Arts in communication and public relations from Purdue University.
Operations
Jennifer Anderson Project Manager
Anderson will spearhead the management of company workflow and resource deployment. Before coming to The Pohly Company, she spent five years at Pearson Custom Publishing working the development, acquisitions and management aspects of custom textbook publishing and three years in pre-press with Uni-Graphic. Anderson graduated from Principia College with a Bachelor of Arts Publications Management.
Nicole Baggetta Operations Manager
Baggetta will manage a variety of operations duties, including overseeing administration, being the day-to-day contact for IT-related communication, as well as training new staff on company policy and procedure and IT systems. Before coming to The Pohly Company, Baggetta worked in the Marketing and Clinical Quality Assurance Departments at Harborside Healthcare. Baggetta holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and Psychology from Hartwick College.
