Professional Collector magazine

Professional Collector is the only publication just for debt collectors. Published four times a year for Western Union Payment Services, the eight-page newsletter offers short articles covering the trends and issues affecting the collections industry, as well as personal finance and general lifestyle stories. The publication is designed to help its audience of payment professionals be more productive and improve their performance.

All articles in Professional Collector are assigned following story conferences between Western Union and The Pohly Company. Queries with article ideas are welcome. Unsolicited manuscripts are discouraged and will be returned. Professional Collector cannot be responsible for any unsolicited manuscripts or artwork. A free sample copy, to provide examples of content and style, is available upon request.

Writers should be aware that Professional Collector is a promotional publication, and that its content must support the overall marketing goals of Western Union. Articles typically vary in length from 200 to 800 words and may be subject to heavy editing prior to publication.

We buy first-time, North American rights. Payment is negotiated and upon acceptance. We do not pay kill fees; articles are rewritten until acceptable and the writer is paid the full fee. Preference is given to writers who are or have been collectors.
