Director — New Business Development

Are you passionate about developing new business? Do you enjoy working in a high energy, mid-sized agency environment (60+ employees)?  You will thrive in this critical position if you can bring strategic thinking to our clients’ communication challenges while also rolling up your sleeves and cultivating qualified business leads. We know our client profile and have an active in-bound lead generation program.  If you are experienced in creating and presenting diverse marketing solutions – in print, web or video – to both consumer and B2B companies, this is the job for you. 

What Experience Should You Bring To This Position?
A minimum of 10 years of marketing experience in an agency environment with a demonstrated track record of successful new business development, individually and as part of a team.  You must thrive in a solo sales environment and be motivated by the hunt. Once you have a qualified lead, you will work with a team to land the business.  Our ideal candidate will have superior oral and written communication skills, be highly organized and able to martial many resources and see proposals through to completion, and be knowledgeable about all forms of marketing and media.  The position also requires good financial acumen in a project and program context and regular travel (15-20%) within the U.S.

What Experience Should You Bring To This Position?
You should have at least 10 years of account management and marketing experience in an agency, direct marketing, or client-service organization focused on marketing communications. You will also have 5+ years of successfully managing a staff of 3-6 people. You will be able to demonstrate project management expertise leading a team from strategy creation to the execution of the details.  You will also have outstanding oral, written, presentation and client relationship skills, and the ability to lead and work with internal team members. You will have a desire to understand client needs and be able to respond with strategic recommendations and proposals to continually grow the business.
